Pics in the op were of the IS model because at the time of the original post there weren’t any pics or vids of the LS model installed.
Processing speed is great, almost instant response. I went with the new X6 version which runs a Six-core processor (Dual-core A72 1.8G + Quad-core A53 1.4G), 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM. I ordered from AliExpress but in hindsight I wish I would’ve ordered from phoenix mainly to have actual customers service and tech support vs. having to message back and forward through WhatsApp with someone all the way in China if something goes wrong with the unit.

I like the size of the screen but the interface was designed by a child. It tries to replicate layout of mechanical buttons which I think is a big mistake. I wouldn't put anything like this my car as even a small risk of damage, it can cause, is not worth to me.
Damage to what? Everything about the system is plug and play.

Was the integration with ML amp and speakers straight forward? If you have the ML system, how is the audio quality now. I tagged dennis blackstock, the guy from youtube which is helping so many people with a lexus and these tesla style screens. He is a member of the 3rd Generation GS section, and I hope he pops in here to help those which are having issues. I see Dennis solved the issues with the stock back up camera issue (voltage). He also says he has the wire schematics for many Lexus, and will share. Great guy.
You could always just do like I did and buy a Tesla Model S? No worries about tearing out your outdated LS dash, and frequent over-the-air updates to continuously improve the interface... The price has dropped quite a bit on them, and they can now be had for under $70k with 400+ miles of range and 0-60 times of 3.7 seconds. With the new Raven Air Suspension, the ride is really very nice, and the transition from an LS isn't so bad.
I sold my LS600hL to one of our fellow Club Lexus guys, and immediately put the $20K I received in Tesla stock last March. My stock is worth $86k today, so in essence I pretty much traded my 2010 LS600hL for a new 2020 Tesla Model S, and had some money left over for other fun stuff! Win-Win!!!

I'm also interested in the sound quality. as I would hate to lose some quality. Kudos to Dennis for his work, I wouldn't pursue this mod if I was losing the stock back up camera.
I know I PM'd you but do you have a link to what you purchased from AliExpress. I like the idea of having US support from Phoenix but I don't like how they nickel and dime you with add-ons.
1. Will I be able to use back seat controls of POWER, MODE and VOLUME from back seat? I see you also have Executive Package and I am curious to know if back seat controls work with volume
2. Do Climate controls stay set? Meaning can I leave my ac on and with remote start have the car started so ac is still running?
3. Does it have a USB input that I can run a cord for? My car 2008 LS 460L does not have one built in. I love how you added a double.
4. Does it retain Factory back up camera? on Phoenix website it says it doesn't.
Phoenix Automotive is one of the more reputable android headunit companies. Seen alot installed by them and they stand by the product and they work pretty well.
Hey, hopefully someone can FINALLY answer this question for me. Im looking to install the tesla style screen in my 2007 lexus ls460L and I want to know if you lose the rear seat control functions. I have the executive package with the cooler and rear shades and rear reclining seats and the arm rest has the functions to control the radio and rear seat functions. If I install this radio will I lose the rear seat control functions? I contacted Phoenix auto which is where I plan to purchase a unit and there response and I quote was "we don't know".
I have my car at a guy who just works on car electronics to figure it out. When he said he would have to take time to research and find out told him willing to pay $2K of his time to figure it out.
From what I understand and talking to several stereo shops is that the controls are all done on resistance so if the Tesla style unit doesn't detect it there should be a way to build something with resisters etc and splicing that can make these back units work or as another hacking forum said to use a resistance meter to test steering wheel controls and then tie them together with rear controls. Since the steering wheel controls work, theoretically the rear seat controls should work since they didn't make a special system or maybe they did. I don't know if your tech savy or not but....I have offered on this forum and others would pay whatever to figure this out and heard nothing but crickets....
Let me know if you can find any other solution....
