Default RCF - Infotainment Media Start Up

Hi,

I have only owned my car for 1 month. One thing annoying me is each time I start up the car, the media is off and once I manually switch it on, it will be on default on DISC...

This is the case no matter what, for example even if I shut the car off with music on and selected on USB.

Is there anything in settings for me to resolve?

Thanks,

Do you have a phone mount using the CD slot? Mine would randomly push buttons until I spaced it away with rubber pads.

Another thing would be to make sure the buttons are clean, noting was spilled, etc.

If that checks out, might be time for a trip to the dealership.

Seems odd, I agree with 2nd poster. Typically, if I don't turn off the media when I shut down engine, then on restart, it goes straight to my previous source. IF turn off media, then shut, nothing will power up on START until I turn media on. Possibly a software issue with yours, Lexus would be more than happy to accommodate that. Let us know your findings.

That is what I thought.

If shutting down the car and media source is left on, you would think it would turn on the previously selected source, but in my case its off and resets.

I will hit up the dealer.

There's a software update available that might fix it.

Your software is probably corrupted somehow. Something weird happened to mine too recently. In the middle of my driving commute, the volume got really loud all of a sudden. On instinct I turned down the volume ****, that didn't work. I pressed all kind of buttons and nothing worked. I couldn't even shut it off, so I had to pull over and turned off the car. After the car restarted, everything went back to normal.
