Hi guys!

I just got my Lexus last night and it's my first Lexus. I am new to this push start button. I know that to start the engine all u have to do is press on the brake and push the button. Now my question is the turn off the engine and car completely. Do I just press the button once and everything will turn off? The reason I ask is because I used the rush start button before on an Audi and to turn the car off u press it to turn off the engine, and then u press and hold it the second time the steering wheel locks and everything. So I just want to know he to complete shut off the car thanks!

 

No, just press the button once to turn everything off, just make sure the car is in Park first though.

Um, as a noobie to the NX and our NX not arriving for a month, What does happen if you try to turn the car off while in drive?

 

Engine turns off, but car remains in accessory mode. If you open the door, a few alarm bells go off to warn you. If you have the auto hand brake option, I THINK the HB locks as well, but that remains to be confirmed. I'll try it, but it won't be until tomorrow.

Oh, if you turn the car off while it's in any other gear than Park, you have press the start button again to turn it fully off (takes it off accessory mode)
