Checked mine, nothing to download, assumption is that it was handled already. I'll be taking mine into dealer soon as the CF on the doors are lifting - took a while for me to fall into that batch like a lot of others so far however my screen is still looking good (no lifting there).

 

Why doesn't Lexus have this posted on their website? My 2015 is at V15A8840, so I should certainly be able to update to A8910 at least.

Edit: looks like there's an even newer version available for 2015-2017 V15A8940 referenced in TSB L-SB-0006-18 (attached below).

I need help, I downloaded the latest file available on USB and plugged into my RCF 2015. When trying to update the system the update software is indented and can’t be selected. Clearly my system is not the latest, please help.

 

Did you make sure there's no other file/files in the USB drive? Or try re-downloading and make sure the file name/format is right.

 

I'm guessing you don't have Navigation? This file is only for 2015-2017 RCF with navigation (the document attached to my post lists all models that it applies to). They system won't update unless the update applies to the system. Your hardware listed is 13LHENOC and the update file is for 13LHENNA hardware. Or maybe you're not in North America (wild guess)? Not sure how to help you here, the Lexus website only seems to have updates for cars less than 3 years old.

 

I will try to isolate the file on the USB because when I tried I had other files on the USB. The file name is correct. I am in Australia so yes maybe might not be compatible. I will have a good and let you know. Thanks

 

So I tried isolating file on USB. The system can recognize there is a file but system flagged the file available is not compatible. I am in Australia so I think our models are same as JDM.

so just download this link? My 2015 software is really old. I did this on my 2014 IS250 few years ago and it was a simple upgrade. Just want to make sure this link provided is the correct link to download.

 

In my post, I included the Service Bulletin. Verify the SB applies to your car (2015-17 RCF w/ Nav), if so then the file is correct. I'd also recommend reading the instructions in the SB also.

I contacted the dealership today and they advised me that it doesn't seem anything is wrong with my system: this is what the response was:

Will go back to media when vehicle is turned off and back on as long as device is synced to vehicle phone etc

If no device synced it will be just on the off option until you manually change to radio or cd etc
This doesn't sound correct because this happen even when on USB as selection, does anyone agree with the dealerships reply?
