Why go from 225 to 235?

I certainly agree with mooretorque's response. More rubber on the road (stability), they look more aggressive, they have a higher max. load design (safety) and they fit the RX w/o spacers on the rear where the shock strut is extremely close to the tire. As an example, the Michelin CT in the 225 size has a max. load rating of 1819# vs. 1964# in the 235 size (TireRack specs).

I switched to 235s, but had rubbing problem with the rear
strut. It doesn't happen often, but when driving on really
rough gravel roads, it rubs slightly. The tire shop replaced
them with the 225s free...
