How does Lexus part number work? specifically A/C amplifier (control module)
Is there a way to find out compatibility between parts between different years of the 3rd gen RX350?
For the ECU or in my case, A/C amplifier (control unit). I see a unique part number for each year (2010, 2011, 2012)
I see things like 88650-0e040, 88650-0e041, 88650-0e042. for example
when it comes to control unit is it best to get your "year specific" part?
Thanks

Used car recyclers used to use a manual called Hollander although now it is probably a database, that told them what different parts were compatible among different models and years. I would contact Ranch Cordova Lexus Recycling for help. They have a web site and toll free number. http://www.rancholexusrecycling.com/

Doesn't seem like its something individual would have access to.
I did call the dealer and they said only the year specific part would fit
I find that hard to believe.
