Default Climate Control affected by temps?

First off, this is my official first post on CL. Always used if for information and never really took the time to register. As well as Planet Lexus, before it came a ghost forum a couple years ago. Had my SC400 for almost 6 Years now, been through alot with it. Just want to say thanks to some of the current and older members who keep this forum going with information. Its been there when I needed it, The stuff your not going to find in a manual or be able to ask your neighbor down the street.

Anyway, Ive searched and searched. So save the "SEARCH BUTTON NOOB". Cant find my answer. and YES Im aware the climate control can be rebuilt. Its just not that serious to me.

Im wondering if the climate control unit is affected by temperatures, Or if anyone else has a similar experience to me. The control just started to bleed alot within the last month or so. I actually have to stick my hands over the vents and push the control to cycle so I can figure out where its blowing out (yea that bad). But yesterday as Im leaving work midday I look and notice and its COMPLETELY clear. The temp was in the high 80s for most of the day, probably 90s inside the car. It hasnt been that hot since the beginning of August, Around when it started going. This morning as I was leaving (Probably 45-50F) it went back to its usual bleeding BS. Anyone else noticing this or is this just some sort of weird occurrence?

Yeahh happens to mine too. Mines is bleeding all the time, but when its HOT like 90s, it clears up as if nothing ever happened, but once I turn the a.c. on then it starts bleeding again. I guess the ink in the display likes heat lol.

Didn't search good enough, ....noob. .....and I won't bother.... but yes we've discussed at length the liquid crystals responding to temperature change. It means nothing as all liquid crystals in any situation do, it's their natural trait. In a warm climate you just won't notice it is drying out and going bad until it is way gone, whereas in a cold climate they will know they have a bad lcd sooner.

Ill admit, I only looked through the first 3 pages. I guess my search entry was a little vague. This is good info to know though, Atleast Ill be able to see it when I need it most in the summer. I received a PM from a member shortly after I posted this who does rebuilds on the LCD along with the LED lighting. Saw pics of his work and it looks great. Im sure alot of people have had theirs rebuilt, Any idea of how long before it would start bleeding again?. Im sure its a few years, Just want to see if anyones had it done and how long theyve been running it.
