Prior to our purchase of our RX my wife was eyeing the BMW suv models. Like you reliability was the only question. Then her friends BMW went into the shop and after talking to her she came back and said "we're getting a Lexus". I laughed. I forgot but she briefed my on the cost of the repair her friend was shelling out. They are great looking cars no doubt. Like you if an extended no B.S. warranty was thrown in I'd might bite.

Also did you perhaps consider an older model six speed F-Sport? But I know of your experience on it's rough ride. It seems these Lexus keep getting stiffer and bouncier with each gen. Had a car on loan and my daughter who normally wouldn't comment on ride quality asked "why it's so bumpy'. This from a non F sport IS250. It was a choppy ride.
