2011 AWD or 2013 FWD RX350
Hello,
I'm a 2014 IS350 F-sport owner and my fiance and I are looking for a used RX350 for her in the VA/MD/NC area. The vehicles we are finding in our price range <$30K are either 2011 AWD or 2013 FWD models. For whatever reason there are very few 12s for sale. The mileage on all is similar (~40K) and all have at least Nav and Premium (some having Comfort Packages). None are L/Certified and the 13's generally are $1.5-2.5K more than the 11s. I'd like to hear some thoughts on these models, pros/cons, etc. I've been reading quite a bit and am still torn on which way to go and would just like to hear some ClubLexus opinions. Some things we've thought about:
We really don't need AWD where we are in SE VA 80% of the time, but the idea of having it if needed is nice. AWD 13 models are $3-$4K more and out of our budget. The FWD 13s are priced very well because they are located up north near DC where most folks want AWD.
My fiance doesn't care, but I prefer the new front end with LEDs of the 13.
Understand that the 11s are designed for premium fuel, but can run with regular while the 13s run on regular.
Resale for the 13s will obviously be better.
