Used Car Advise for 2010 vs 2011
Hi - I am a first time Lexus buyer. I was looking at CPO RX 350 and considering options of 2010 and 2011 RX350. I have shortlisted a CPO 2010 with 30K miles with navigation and 2011 with 30K miles without navigation.
If I am able to get these 2 cars in same price range which would be a better buy ?
Also in general is the navigation system and related features of side view camera worth the extra $$$?
Thanks

You will hear commentary both for and against the current navigation system found in the RX. If you decide to go with the navigation system and you are purchasing from a Lexus dealership, make sure they provide you with an update to the latest version of the software at no charge to you. This is not something you can do yourself and is somewhat expensive. Having all the updated maps and POI can be all the difference.

Go for the one with navi. The navi gives the RX true luxury look, parking sensors and back up camera are well worth it. Bluetooth full data connection is another very convenient option you would want to have. The navi option usually comes as part of the package that includes bi-xenons. It is a must for an expensive luxury ride like the RX anx it is useful as well.
check when 2010 and 2011 were built. I've seen them built as early as october the previous year. techically 2011 can be 2010. 2010 vs 2011 have no changes as far as I know.

No, I don't play soccer!
Welcome to CL, deesapa. Take a look at this thread where another member was in a similar situation. The only difference, both were '10s. It pretty much includes opinions from both sides regarding nav. I don't have the side view camera myself. I've heard it helps when parallel parking. The side view mirrors tilt down when reversing as well.
There are a few differences between '10 and '11. Early '10s came with a sunglass holder, before Lexus introduced Enform. That would indicate a build date prior to August 2009. The '11 has a power outlet under the shifter, definitely more convenient to get to than the cavernous middle console. But it lost "Lexus" on the tail gate. Hardly a deal breaker but worth mentioning.
Best of luck in your search.
