Receiving calls using Bluetooth in RX330
Hi
Can you guys confirm for me that when someone calls your cell phone while you are driving the rx330, that you don't get a ring tone coming through the ML speakers?
I could have sworn that the ring tone came from the ML speakers, but when receiving calls from my RX330, it only displays on the nav screen that there is a caller - No ring tone can be heard.
Thanks
Rob

Thanks. You have confirmed the same thing for me. Funny thing is that the manual states that when you receive a call, you will also get a tone - I am assuming the ring tone from the speakers.
Also, you also get a volume increase/decrease slider when a call is received displayed on the nav screen.
I am wondering if this is a bug in the software.

I don't have ML stereo - rather stock unit, and do get ring sound through the car.
I believe it has much to do with the phone and compatibility. I have a Motorola RAZR. Folks report different behavior based on different phones.
Incoming calls ring and dim stereo (assuming phone not on vibrate setting, then I hear nothing) when calls coming in.
Hope this helps

I initially was using an O2-XDA Mini Pocket PC phone. Although all was working fine, I couldn't figure out why there was no ringtone coming through the speakers.
I have now changed over to a Nokia 6820 and all is working fine. I now get a ringtone through the speakers. There is a delay though - It will ring once through the cell phone and then it will ring through the ML speakers.
I guess it all comes down to compatability.

I too use a Nokia 6820 and hear the ringtone through my speakers, and I do have the ML system. I also use a Sony T637 which actually seems to be more compatible than the Nokia.

I have two questions regarding the t637. When you receive the ring through the audio system:
1. Does it ring through your audio system also when your audio system is off?
2. What are the t637 settings (ring tone selection, etc)?

All I did was connect the car to the T637 as a handsfree device. My ringtone is just a personalized ringtone. I didn't do anything special.
The phone rings through the ML system with system on or off.

My ATT branded t637 (Cingular service) would not ring through the ML. It pairs with the car (06 GS430) quickly every time and I was able to downloads the whole phonebook. Am I missing anything in the set-up? The ringtones are the Sony/Ericsson default.

A little off topic
An contemplating picking up the new Samsung i730 PDA/Phone from Verizon. From what I read - it *should* work in RX... Anyone given this particular phone a try yet?
Thanks
