Heater Core Replacement
Anyone out there got a step by step or know of a link to a video on how to remove/replace my heater core? it's a 2001 RX 300.
My servo kicked the bucket, and in getting it out, I put too much stress on the heater core line and it started leaking. Wonderful....
Thanks,
Patrick

Anyone? I looked under the dash an in the engine compartment... Looks very tight...
Curious what anyone would think of splicing in, instead of running the entire heater core and piping, just cut the pipes right around where the actuator is. splice together with hose and hose clamps.
I think it would be a lot less invasive, and much less risk of screwing something else up.

No leaks after 100 mile burn in.
I initially used 5/8 line, it was tight, too tight, I was having to stress on the same pipes I had bent previously and now was replacing, so I went with 3/4, and I used clamps in the middle to minimize the hose pinching from the bend
Actuator also replaced for 45$ for a used one. Works perfect. Wife has heat again.
