RSR RAN UP / First Oil Change
So the time has come where I needed my first oil change.....
I feel like the car lost a lot of power and started to hesitate a bit when I hit 4300 miles and now at 4500 It's in the shop having the oil changed. I have added RSR-RAN Up a proven oil additive ( per Bob the Oil Guy ) and ran it in my 14 IS350 F. Im curious to see what happens with this oil change and the addition of the additive. I am opening a thread to report findings...
In the IS it just smoothes things out a bid. Yet, with the RCF, the car became a little jumpy on the revs ( idles rough) closer to the service interval. Since I'm **** about cars, I put seafoam in the crank before the oil change and the other 1/2 of the can in the gas tank.
Again, with all the fuel pump issues etc, I figures this is a 10 dollar preventative measure.
More to come.....

I dont think so, the oil change actually shored up the rough idle. Likewise, on my ride home the car seemed to act like its normal self aka a rocket. I will see what the RAN Up does, yet I have only driven a few miles and havent had time to open her up. Likewise with the cold air, I expect she will run hard and good once able to do so.

I wonder if the RSR RAN Up will alleviate some of the NX engine vibration at idle...

With the RR-Racing oir to oil separator and the RSR RAN Up....I dont forsee any issues. I will report more once I log some seat-time.

I'd have to see a statistically significant number of dyno results to believe that an oil change, with or without RAN UP could have any real impact on engine performance, all other things being equal. That just doesn't make sense except to sell $50 bottles of additive.

I'm no expert but 50% of the crap you read on forums is just that.....crap. Unless an oil lab can provide some indisputable documentation as to the benefits of it, I'll save my $50 x 2 (for a V8) and just stick to what the vehicle calls for. Joe Z did an oil submission on his conventional oil with positive results.....that's what this company should do if they want to sell their product (if they did and I missed it somehow, then disregard my comments).

Read page 2. The guy had his oil analyzed
My take. It worked well in my IS I'll run it in my RCF. Really, my oil change helped with the rough idle and even at one point my oil light came on ( checked it and it was fine ) prior to the oil change. So not sure, the car had seen one track session ( prior to air to oil separator ) and other than that some daily driving. I'm thinking I should change my oil about 4500 miles or before.
