Angry I'm gonna take a hammer to this ETC button.

Stupid ETC......lol. Mine won't come on for some reason. I verified the switch is good, all fuses under the hood and in the kick, not only changed bulbs, but swapped clusters too! I guess I am down to a volt meter and another day, I did not find the problem today after a few hours of work.

My tranny is in top shape, shifts like a champ....... just not in power mode.... it won't go into PWR ect mode.

By the way, the only reason why I care is because I live on a mountain and it is essential for mountain driving. It downshifts much easier coming up the mountain rather than bogging .

I got it. For future reference, the ETC is controlled through the green wire with the orange stripe on the left side of the three harness points on the speedo cluster. If that orange wire is not making contact or (in this case) completely off (out of) the plug, no PWR etc mode for you.

Mark this one down for the other 900 people who had this problem that I found in search.

SEARCH!

Just kidding. Well if you searched why'd you post a new thread? HUH? I think the day I actually catch you off guard for not searching will be the day that all SCs become Hon-duhs.

YOU search and tell if anyone has ever pinpointed the wire for the ECT on the cluster and said it could break
