Default Glove Box noises

Hello everyone, I have a 2008 LS460, certified 40000 mi……The glove box is giving me the blues. every time i hit a bump in the road it sounds like the cars dash is coming a loose. I don't know for sure what it is , can some one help please.

There was a TSB to address that. However Lexus might not do it given that the car is no longer under the 4 year factory warranty.

there is a quick fix somewhere on the forum, but you have to search... i saw the post a few months ago.

Here is the youtube link on the fix. I tried it and at first it did not do anything for me, but after about a dozen tries, it actually worked, and now my glove box is very tight fitting. If you cannot find a long enough zip tie, just duct tape two together with the top cut off. Be patient and it should work.

Thanks guys for the rapid response…I will try the quick fix as soon as i get some ties.

I think it was Tee or Cjitty - they used a large zip tie to jam between the door and the dash. There's a DIY on here to do it properly, but it's not a quick fix.
