Default 2004 LS430 IPhone Audio Integration Question

Is it possible to play my saved music or stream Rhapsody from my IPhone through the 2004 LS430 Mark Levinson car stereo system?

Nah all the OEM bluetooth will do is connect to the phone (and semi-questionably at times lol). I couldn't even transfer my contacts from my iphone (had to use my old Moto Razr). Keep in mind this was one of the first in-car bluetooth systems and its capabilities are limited (though still nice to have).

I just use a quality cassette adapter to play my iphone music. Sound quality is excellent and it's an easy/cheap way to get music through the speakers. Others use a more elaborate setup such as Viastech where you can integrate your music into your nav, but it requires taking apart the dash. Hope that helps

In my opinion, the Viastech unit is well worth the effort to take the dash apart and do the installation yourself. I have a dedicated iPod which resides in the glove box. Full access from the Nav and wheel condtrols. The Viastech charges the iPod when the car is running. It never comes out of the glove box except when I want to add/subtract music or change the playlist. It really adds to the luxury of this car.

Taking apart the front middle stack on the LS is a 15 minute job. Its well designed and very easy to take apart and put back together.

link is to a sample url that describes taking apart the middle stack to add a adapter mount - but there are other instruction lists that can be found via google.

Vais all the way. Ability to play video from iDevices on LS screen is priceless.

You can connect your Bluetooth devices via your cassette deck. ION makes a Bluetooth cassette adapter. You can pick one up at Amazon for about $25. This is a great way to modernize your system without rearranging any of the factory specs - nice.

Depends on what you're looking for in terms of features, sound quality, radio integration, on-screen song and playlist info, etc.

Vaistech, a CL product sponsor, offers two excellent digital audio integration units:

New person here. I had VaisTech SL2i installed on my CPO '04 LS430 when purchased at Sewell. In, almost 7 years, I've never had a glitch using FM, AM, CD, IPod or Sirius Radio until this week. All ok except Sirius. I'm a lifetime subscriber, so it wasn't a subscriber fee due issue, also wasn't a location issue. I was in a parking lot and then interstate 75. Phoned Sirius for signal reset 3x that day... No luck. The next morning, it worked, then it didn't later that day. Sirius kept referring to how old the unit is... "You've had this a long time sir". Is there a shelf life for Vais equipment? Does anyone know how to re-boot the Vais unit? Intermitent reliability is not the norm, based on my research. I will seek a Vais-shop, this week, in the area of TN where I currently reside and probably will succumb to a replacement or upgrade. If anyone has experience with '30 pin to lightning' adapters? Also appreciate.

I have another brand adapter and with recent iOS updates, I keep getting "this accessory not supported" messages on my iPhoneXr. Music may start playing, but stops in a few minutes and eventually won't play at all. It used to work fine until about 2 months ago.I have a 2004 Custom Luxury Edition with Mark Levinson sound system.
