Suspension from another lexus question.
Was curious to know if any suspension that will fit my 99Ls. Tryna Lower my car just alittle bit, but wanna keep the smooth ride. Is it anything possible, like suspension from gs300 or gs400? Or wat about an SC models? I searched and found nothing to relate to my question. Thanks in advance.

Many options to lower your vehicle, no need to get suspension off others vehicles.

Coilovers give a rougher ride tho right?

with tanabes and kyb the ride is still soft and comfortable.
9/10 when compared to stock.
It is hardly noticable to me and completely unnoticable to those that dont ride in an ls every day

tanabes are a quality spring but have some significant downsides:
1-VERY soft spring rate, honestly to me felt like the car rolled even more than stock. several other members past reviews tend to support this.
2-tanabes WILL wear out just about any OE-style shock out far more quickly than a comparable H&R/Eibach setup as the shock is spending more time working outside of it's design paramters.
3-NO adjustability, at all. Tanabes will give you a 2-3" drop, more with a fully loaded vehicle.
softly sprung coilovers such as custom valved/sprung BC (for 1st gen cars/ 2nd gens that don't wanna pay for Tein) or Tein CS are the perect choice for a DD that doesnt need to be heavily lowered.
IIRC Tein CS spring rates for '95-00 LS400s are ~6KG/mm front and ~4KG/mm rear.
megans are based at 12/8 rates, though valving matters a lot. megans do not ride twice as hard just because the spring rates are twice as stiff. aggressively valved soft spring rates can still provide a harsh ride.

Many of us originated in other tuning communities. If you've owned a lowered 240,civic whatever. Do to the weight of the ls will retain comfortable ride, no matter what suspension you use to lower it. I have had stock, then tanabe, then JIC, then Megan. My **** is slammed and it rides the same other than bangin towers i don't notice a difference really. If you don't want to go to low, go with the tanabe DF210's. Mild low and still no difference in ride. will kill stuts tho
