LS460 OneTouch Trunk Lid Closer Install?
Hello forum,
I'm a noob here on ClubLexus. I just purchased an 07 LS460 and I assumed it had the OneTouch trunk lid closing feature and would open all the way when I hit the trunk release on the fob and expected to see the touch button inside the trunk.... Turns out it isn't equipped with the button inside the trunk to close.....
Has anyone ever installed this feature themselves or by a dealer? average costs?
Any ideas or direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the response CJITTY. I'm curious if the car is capable of the feature? or would the entire trunk need to be swapped and motors installed to lift and lower the trunk lid....

It's basically as simple as sending a signal to the trunk closer button circuit..not sure how he got it to work with his key fob, but I believe through an alarm module.... but he is an audio installer genius savant type..he'll chime in here soon, I just sent him this thread...wait for it..wait for it.

No, we certainly cannot, whoops!!!..I assumed you have the power closer already.but now I realized I jumped the gun and you don't have the power closer option...this would involve some work for sure. I forget that is an option package...

1st I have a correction to make. .. I can't close the trunk from the oem fob (only open) I can however open an close the trunk from my smart phone an the switch up front under the dash.. but it sounds like u have no motor mechanism in the trunk.. that would have to added to get power open an close.. it is possible but looks to be pricey (if the cars not prewired for it)
A quick chk in the trunk on the drivers side by the arm will tell.. if there are 2 or 3 harnesses tied to the side it maybe doable

did u pull down the trim panel? they may be tied to the metal support. an not really exposed but they should be there.. most cars come prewired for a few extra options..
an easier check maybe to pull the trunk lid panel off and and look to see if the "switch" harness is there..if it is then its likely that the others are there(look close to the area where the switch would be..or any unused harnesses or plugs)
