I had an oversizeload load in my 2007 LS460 trunk and now with it won't close either with the trunk closer or manually; any ideas?

 

If the trunk lid won't go down flush with the fenders, the latch may be stuck in a closed position. If the lid goes all the way down, have you tried the metal key in the trunk key hole to see if it will free up the latch?

 

Thanks for the help; One of the local Lexus dealers solved the problem --the closer motor was jamed because I had hooked a bungie cord into latch to secure the lid. Some end of the season mulch on sale became very expensive--dumb! Don't do it.
