Installed a SPH DA120 Pioneer App Radio 4 in my 2001 LS430 - Mark Levinson - Non-Nav

Powers up fine but only the right front speaker is working. Not a sound from the others. Sent the AMP out to be checked - shop said it tested fine.
Used Metra Harness TYTO-01 and have checked my connections numerous times. Yes, I did connect the Blue/White AMP wire.

Question: There are two stock harnesses in the dash. The smaller of the two has two wires - a red, and a green. The Metra kit did not address either. What do these control?
Question: How do I test if the AMP is getting power?
Hope: Someone can suggest a course of action so I can have all of the speakers working and get my wife off my back and on the road.

P.S. I don't post often. If I have committed a foul please inform how. To my knowledge no other thread (I have attempted to read them all) addressed a similar speaker issue. Thanks to experts on this forum I have saved thousands; I would like to keep it that way.

The red and green wires are for serial communication between components.

Thanks rkw77080. Because me not so smart. The red and green wires are for the stock stereo to communicate with the CD player. Is that right?

Any ideas on why only one speaker will produce sound?

You're correct. The new unit will not be communicating with the other audio components. You mentioned that only one speaker is producing sound. Question is, how much volume can you get out of this one speaker? I think you are on to something, that maybe the amplifier is not receiving power.

The one speaker (passenger side door bottom) sounds as it should. How do I test for power at the AMP?

You also mentioned a "Blue/White AMP wire". Do you have a photo or can you tell us more about this wire (what is it connected to, where does it go, etc)? I do not see it on the electrical schematic, but apparently this is the wire that switches the amplifier to ON.

Since you're getting sound out of at least one speaker, your amplifier is powered up.

If you can still access the new connector, please disconnect each and inspect the pins and sockets carefully. I suspect either a pin has collapsed or a socket has been pushed back, in other words, there is a disconnect somewhere, and I think the connectors are the most probable place to look.

Ran a check light on both side of all the fuses - drivers side, passengers side, and drivers side trunk - all good. Check TYTO harness (both sides) and harness into stock harness - no loose connections found. Attached the Blue/White wire pic correctly this time...I hope.

New development: When I turn *off* the rear speakers on the APP Radio the small dash speakers come on? Have I wired it incorrectly? The wires are color coordinated? TYTO installation instructions attached.

OK, I see the Blue/White wire goes from the Pioneer to the TYTO-01 black box, so it's not part of the factory wire (that's why I did not find it on the electrical schematic). Good, no problem there!

The TYTO-01 16-pin harness wire colors matches those of the Pioneer, so, I don't think you wired the harness wrong.

I'm still of the opinion that one of the connectors is the culprit. There are 4 plug-in connectors in this installation. Please disconnect your negative cable from the battery and double check each harness-connector to make sure each of the pins within the connector is fully seated (by inspecting for damaged pins, and by pushing and wriggling each conductor):
1) Black connector that plugs into the Pioneer
2) Black 16-pin connector that plugs into the TYTO-01
3) Black 14-pin connector that comes out of the TYTO-01
4) White connector that plugs into the existing factory harness

Once you've confirmed that all connections are good, reconnect the negative battery cable. Then power up and allow everything to re-initiate. Adjust the Balance and Fader settings on the Pioneer to see if you are getting sound from the speakers.

I was looking around this morning on Amazon.com to find more pictures of the TYTO-1 and under the review section, there was a person that encountered the same problem as yours (initial installation yielded sound from passenger speakers only). Culprit to his problem was a bad connection in one of the connectors. Sorry for the late reply. Left for business trip after your post. After checking the connections you noted and switching the fader to "All rear" I heard faint music. My thinking now is [a] blown speaker(s). Asked the beautiful bride about how the speakers sounded before the stock radio went...my answer was "they sounded funny". Will install a new speaker on Friday and let you know the results. Many thanks for the provided ways forward. They all are of great help.
