Flashing Orange "AFS OFF" light on dash. '05
My Adaptive Front Headlight System light started flashing last night. It comes on and then after a few minutes it stops flashing, and then starts again. Anyone have a similar problem? Any ideas how much the fix will be?

Probably will need a height sensor on the rear control arm. Im a Lexus technician, and have seen many of those fail. They dont seem to be very watertight, and they eventually
corrode inside. Probably $200-250 for part, and maybe $130ish for labor depending on your location.

I disconnected the rotating rods in the head light . Simply unscrewed 4 bolts and one slim bar with 1 cog on each end.
Now my lights are fixed but much better than them dropping down and limiting visibility. Dont bother with sensors. The car is only getting older and as such luxuries fail, I take the money and bought LED driving lights to replace my fog lights.
Up to you. Just wanted to share.
Thanks

Looks like one of my height sensors just went kaput. Can't even drive the car now, as it's on full up at every corner....I get nauseous when the car goes over bumps. AFS light flashing intermittently & "Height Hi" flashes every once in a while.
Time to take it to the dealer...

Anyone have a suggestion on how to temporarily get the sensor to start working again? The dealership is about 30 minutes away, and I don't think I can drive that far w/ the car super stiff.
I've read that the sensors corrode b/c of poor sealing, so perhaps I can crack it open and "clean" it?
