Default What is this Warning Light on Dash?

Was driving into work this morning and car stalled at light after leaving highway. This does not happen that often and no big deal to me, just starter up and move on. Anyway, today I noticed that one of my dash lights came on when the car stalled. The light had the outline of a small engine with the work "check". When I got to work (light went away after re-start), I checked my car manual and found the instruction...."should light stay on, take to Lexus dealer immediately". The description of this dash light is that....something in electrical system is faulty. Anyway, I plan to drive home and watch. If no problems, I'll forget about it. Would anyone have more insight to this and a recommendation. I know others have had the occasional "car die" after leaving freeway and it doesn't bother me as long as car starts again and no real issue. Thanks.

that's your generic infamous "check engine" light. your symptoms sound like it could be something wrong with the air system (hoses, etc) or bad ignition lines, hoses, etc. if it keeps doing it, and you have to keep on restarting your car, that puts some strain on your battery and you'll just end up running it up quicker. either that, or you have a bigger underlying problem. take it somewhere to get an engine dianostic exam just to be sure.
