2011 IS 250 Rear-ended
I got rear ended yesterday by some guy who apparently couldn't stop in enough time. My bumper needs to be replaced and the trunk as well as the muffler (pipe bent)
Questions: He has gecko and they have assumed responsibility but I think they're trying to get me to get the work on the car at a local random dealership. I want to take my car to lexus of orange park (Closest dealer to me) So any advice on this?
I also had questions about the paint matching. I read online that theres different techniques they use in Japan so it wont match? Is this true? And if so is it possible to order parts pre painted from japan?
Thanks for your help, I'll upload some pics.

To my understanding (do correct me if I'm wrong), you can choose your own repair shop.
You and your/their insurance company have opposing priorities. I'm sure you want the repair done well. The insurance company wants it done at the lowest cost using after-market parts.
Also, many people think they'll need three estimates, possibly because they were told so by the insurance company. No such obligation.
Lastly, if you financed the car, you have a lien, your lien holder might have its own policy to get oem parts on the vehicle.
Long story short. No. You don’t need to drive your vehicle to your insurance company's office to make a claim for repair. You can leave it with your repair shop and ask your insurer to inspect the vehicle there.
Hope this helps.

You can definitely choose your own repair shop, DO NOT let them take it to their repair shop. You find a place you trust and tell them you will have the work done there. Make sure you tell them OEM parts specifically as well, or they may try and stick you with aftermarket replacement parts to get the cost down as much as they can. If they refuse, you may want to discuss with your own insurance company about getting the car repaired where and how you want it repaired. IMO, you want to take as much control as you can when it comes to your cars repairs - otherwise the other guys insurance may take control and cut costs where they can.
As far as the paint matching, I wouldn't really worry too much about that. It looks like you have a darker colored car so any good shop should be able to make it look new again. Its the pearly white colors like SFP & GFM where most people run into issues with color matching even at good shops.

I can't upload the pictures its saying the files are too big. I'll have to downsize them.
Okay, cool I'll let them know that I want the work done at lexus.
Thanks Jeff, I figured that was the case with shipping and possible damage.
Yes, I have obsidian so hopefully there isnt a problem
I just want the car back to normal, it barely has 23,000 miles on it. (I'll be looking into a diminished value claim as well) Just another annoying hassle, I was on the way to the college library to study for finals when it happened.
