HID going out
I have had my Lexus for about a year now - and the headlight on the drivers side will intermittently die for no reason.
When I leave the headlights in auto mode - it wont work - but if I move the switch to the headlight on position it turns on.
Is this a common issue?
Thanks.

Is it still under warranty? I know you said you have had it for a year. Did you buy it new, or just new to you?
No snese messing with it if you can have someone else do it for free!

it is most likely the ballast. weak ballast dont draw enough power to start the bulbs in auto mode. you have to turn them on manually. what brand kit did you buy? remember you get what you pay for. a decent kit should run you 75 dollars at least
oh wait... you HIDs are stock? or you had a KIT?

I have the same problem with my xenondepot kit. I was told I need this relay harness http://www.KBcarstuff.com/HID-Kit-Wi...-p/wirehar.htm
Are your hid's oem or aftermarket?

just had this same problem. i let it go for a while because if i turned the switch out of auto and went back, the bulb would come back on, lol. anyway, after a while it would just only stay on for a few minutes after i started the car and then would only last a few minutes after i tried manually putting it back on. turned out to be the bulb. had both bulbs replaced and has been fine since.
