OMG... Total BS! (brand new car with check-engine light indicating misfire)

The same thing happened on our Escalade. Everything! It finally got to the point where it didnt even respond to the unlock button. Turns out that, I needed a new battery. haha. I hope everything turns out fine.

Did you consider it may be the gasoline? Water in the fuel will definitely cause misfires. Misfires can be a LOT of things, but the first thing to check is the fuel unless there is some other code clearly indicating a failed component. Besides, as new as the car is, I'd call it infant mortality if it is a failed component, and they'll get it sorted out in short order.
Not every single car can be perfect. No manufacturer is that good/lucky.
[EDIT] OK, there is a TSB. EG019-06 covers M.I.L. ON" DTC P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305, OR P0306

If your VIN is lower than these numbers, your car may be affected. The fix is new lash adjusters, valve springs and valve spring retainers. This does NOT apply to the 2GR-FSE, ONLY the 4GR-FSE in the IS250.
I extend my deepest sympathy if yours is an affected unit. This is a full day's work according to the TSB. You may be without your car for awhile.

My question is this: will it ever be the same again? and if they have it for more than 30 days, do lemon laws come into play.. (obviously depends on the state). Thanks.

I had the same problem and after 3 trips to the dealership to figure it out, it was a bad gas cap. Can you believe that! When they hooked up the computer, it detected a very small emisions leak. Also, if you don't fully close your gas cap after a fillup (it needs to click once when you close it), it will cause the VSC light and the check engine light to come on.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, my VIN does fall under the Kyushu range. I've been informed that the parts have to be ordered from Japan, and that I'm looking at 3 weeks plus without it.

I read through the procedure, and it's no more difficult than a valve stem seal change without removing the head (except your stem seals will remain in place - there is no need to change them.) While it isn't something you'd want the oil change guy doing, it's not terribly difficult for a competent mechanic. I've never done this with the head on, I've always taken it off usually because I'm doing the rest of the engine anyway, but I know a few guys who are experienced amateurs and successfully done this with their 2JZ Supras.
My bet is when they get done it will actually be better...

Since I'm not very mechanically technical, I vote another one for ggzoa. I have seen a couple of Honda Accord and Odyssey and one Acura MDX threw the same CEL due to the gas cap not being put on tight enough. Me, I never have this issue as I always tighten the gas cap til it click by habit.

don't you know about the lemon law...if you buy the car within 6months and you have problems, declare it lemon and get a new one or better yet a refund. Each state has their own lemon law...i know hawaii does...they've should've talked to you about this when you first buy the car.

My RX350 VSC and Check light came on a lot!. Many times I had to bring it to the dealer. The code was the gas cap They reset on the spot. I did clicked ONCE. I made them replace the damn gas cap since I had to go there often. Then I sold it lol.

i dropped off my car today and was phoned within the hour to tell me that a O2 sensor was malfunctioning, so they are replacing it as we speak and ill get my car back in a few hours.
my symptoms were; check vsc, cel, and trac lights were on and off, but mostly on for a week. @12k miles.

If its one of the ones on the OEM Mid pipe than i wouldn't be surprised, sine they were previously wrenched on your car months ago..
What I have come to notice is that these O2 sensors don't like to be touched much.. and once they have been, they have a better chance of failing sometime down the line.. We have Very sensitive O2 sensors...
Good thing you were back to stock and its covered under warranty..

seems like these 4 lights are wired together for some reason, the CEL + "Check VSC" + traction + ((!))
I had the same problem today, wasted a day on it, dealer said it's a loose gas cap, with error code 5118
