This morning my wife's 2008 IS250 check engine and vsc light went on. Garage temperature was about 36 degrees. It took a few tries to get the car started then the check engine and vsc light went on and the car was shaking. After the car warmed up, my wife restarted the car again and the problem went away. Anyone had similar issue? Btw, her car just had 75K service last week.

 

Have you done "carbon build up re-call" yet? If you haven't, head up your dealer to get it done

I have had same problem on cold start and even on the stop light.
I only had 1 check engine light about year ago and it was misfiring.
I had rough idle problem when I stop on the stop light for long years (it does do every once in while)
I went to dealer 2 weeks ago because I received letter from Lexus saying that I might have
defective piston and piston rings.

Dealer were able to duplicate the problem (I dont know how they did this since I had check engine light about year or more ago)

I got new piston and piston ring set and also new o2 sensor
I bought Spark plugs too and they installed this for free.
