Default Need new ECU. Please help

Hey guys I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada.
Took my lexus in today to have an intermittent starting problem fixed. They determined that I need a new ECU.

What advice do you guys have for me? can I use one from any year? Are there better ones? Where can I get one for less money?

Its a 2001 Lexus is300 AUTO, canadian model.

Thank you very much

I have a computer for an 01 auto. 200 + shipping. I think Lexus will have to reflash your key to this ecu for everything to work, usually about $60 at the dealer here.

No 2001 you cant flash the ECU for new keys. You will need a 2001 ECU with keys

Um no, you don't actually reflash the ECU, you reflash the keys TO the new ECU, same as if you had lost your master key! I worked at a Toyota/Lexus dealership. It's not a problem.
