Header cel question
I have ppe headers setup and im thinking its normal to get tge cel pop up every now and then. Most of the time i reset the ecu by pulling the two fuses and it will stay away for 2 to 3 minths before it comes back. Here lately the last few resets ive had to reset it constantly daily for about a week before it will stay away for a while. I was wondering if there is a better procedure or am i not the only one to experience this. How long do the 02 sensors last been a year now and drive it periodically.

You should not have to do this. It was probably an install issue from the beginning. Most of the time its the O2 extension wire that is touching the hot headers that gives this issue. Isolate which side and make sure its not the extension.

Yes. It happen to me at first. Mine was on the drivers side. I thought it was a bad air fuel ratio sensor on the header. But after trouble shooting with Paul at PPE. It was the extension touching the header on the drivers side. It was way at the top and hard to see from the bottom. I could see it. I used a long screw driver and sort of pushed it out of the way and its been fine since. It has been over a year and 11000 miles. I would have performed a better fix but I could not get a hand up there. If it happens again, I will go for a better fix.

Ok i will look into that intial install there was a wire that melted to the header and blew a fuse and i moved them out of the way and fixed it but maybe there is another elsewhere.

I had installed and at first there was no problems. Then a couple months down to road it popped up. I forgot the error it gave but i took it in and they said nothing could be done since everything looked fine, they reset my ecu and it came back on the next day. It finally disappeared after two weeks of driving. Now two months later, it came back on again. I'll check the error when i get home from work but i don't think my wires melted at all like everyone says since they would have told me the fist time. Looks like me and you might have the same problem here.

No issues here with mine. Paul at PPE will help you narrow it down. If you look at my install thread, theres a bracket that Paul removes to allow the o2 conditioner to be routed far enough away from the header to avoid issues. If you haven't had this removed, maybe the o2 conditioner is getting too hot somewhere.

Notice the bracket thats visible in the first pic, and missing from the second? Thats the one I'm talking about
