Default Help, newbie question with trunk compartment

Hello Club Lexus!

Just bought my first Lexus last Saturday and could not be happier with it. Ended up getting a 2014 IS 350 F sport AWD in Nebula Gray. I must say DANG these seats are comfy!!

Pics of her right after the purchase.

So my question is, for the life of me I cannot figure out how to open this compartment up. I tried pulling hard but I didn't want to pull too hard just incase I would break a tab or something. If someone has some knowledge on this and knows how to get these darn things open that would be awesome!

Thanks,
Carter

Those don't open anything. They are hooks for a luggage cargo net.
Something like this.

Okay, I was going through specONE's build thread last night and saw that he had opened them to hide his amp for the aftermarket sub he installed. I'll post a picture and a link to the thread.

I was going to try and hide my first aid kit and stuff down there so it was out of the way as I rarely need it.

There should be some space for smalls stuff like First Aid Kits under the mat, where the spare tire is.

Lol, I understand what the chrome hooks are for, just didnt know if that whole insert came out easy or not. My last car had a spot to place things in the same location so thought this one might have the same feature. Just be handy to throw stuff in there you dont use much but is useful to have around.

after you remove the luggage stay, they're held on with clips. they can be easily removed with panel poppers.there should be 5 clips around the sides closest to the wall, none on the right side.

That piece can come off after you take out the foam tool tray near the spare tire.
also the chrome hooks need to be removed. Lift the chrome hooks up position and then get a small flat head screwdriver to lift up the black plastic under it to expose 10mm bolt and once you unscrew that the panel will lift right up easily.
