Default so my car is a the dealer getting that exhaust

gas issue fixed (carbon build up problem in IS250s). What else should I have them change? plugs were done 30K miles ago, I'm thinking about replacing the water pump even though still good, it has 90K miles on it. Anything else I should do? Thanks.

i wouldnt replace water pump until it starts leaking, or if the engine is apart already for whatever reason like doing the carbon build up fix. Spark plugs will be fine

how much are they going to charge to replace the water pump? labor should be considerably less since they have the engine apart for the carbon build up problem.

You can have them do it but at 30k, I wouldnt even bother, its a waste of time and money. Plus the water pump on the IS is extremely easy to change unlike most cars since its right at the front of the engine not really connected to anything else. so most shops will charge >300 (even though thats on the high side) for labor if supplied a part. On average, everyone is paying around 4-500 to replace water pump with parts and labor.

There is a DIY that shows how to get it done, average 2 hours and a few beers with some mechanically inclined buddies

i don't know if the dealer would charge for labor to change the pump. the pump is about 270.00 usd. my water pump has 90k miles on it. my plugs only have 30k miles on them. Thanks to all for your comments.
