Default Water Pump Question

So I took my 08 IS250 with 53000 in for oil change service to the lexus dealership everything was find until my SA told me that next time around they are going to have to possible replace my water pump because according to her its seeping? What the hell does that mean? I asked her if it was ok to drive she said yeah no problem car is running great and while we are in their we will also fix the carbon problem. My question is if my water pump is seeping why not keep the car and just fix it now instead of letting me drive away is it really not a big deal yet? What should I look for car does not over heat always normal temp. And advise would be great.

Seeping means you got a small/slow leak. Did u notice a leak? If you're really concerned I would schedule an appointment asap to get it fixed.

I'm guess you don't know about the major issue with water pump failure on these car. It happens often and at lower miles than you think. My GF replace at 40k and just two weeks ago at 80k. Can you drive with a slow leak yeah. If they tell you to come back and your still under power train warranty don't worry. If any thing seize up you'll get a fully built new motor.OP just make the appointment to have it fix so they have the parts ready to install. It takes a few hrs.

Thanks you guys I was thinking the same thing I knew about this problem with this model car their has never been a leak that I have seen and I park it in my garage it must be something very small if not my SA would have made me leave me car. Either way I'm taking it back at the end of the month to get that taken care of.
