Lexus & Toyota of Middle East (UAE-Al Ain) says I have no rights!
I took my Lexus IS 300 2nd Generation cause it has a problem which is a whirring noise coming from the engine side!
I took it to them and they said you have no rights to the warranty if you install after market wheels and body kits. Anything which is not stock or an after market thing will make you warranty off anymore...
I got angry about this and I called the complain center for Toyota in Dubai and they told me that they will deal with it..
They found out the problem of my car and waiting for it to finish.
Screw all the dealers they suck... how the warranty can be off if I have only body kits and after market wheels ???????

That sucks to hear, so what turned out to be the problem?
Al Futtaim (Toyota /Lexus dubai) never gave me any problems with warranty. I guess the Alain dealers are misinformed or taking wayy to stringent precautions. Who is the dealer there btw must still be alfuttaim sah?

In America, the law states that they can't deny your warranty if the problem you're having isn't related to the mods you've done....ie- they can't say that you're wheels caused your CD player to break.

^^^The way it works in the UAE is, in each emirate (state), one family-owned holding company has the sole rights to each brand in each emirate. So for example, Mercedes Benz in Abu Dhabi is owned by the Al Fahim group. while in Dubai, MB its owned by Gargash enterprise... etc etc. It is especially inconvenient to live in one emirate and service ur car in another. So we lose out on that competition incentive dealers have to keep customers coming back. We have no choice and they know it.
To make matters, for some reason Toyota/Lexus is managed by Al Futtaim in all seven emirates (I dont know how that one worked out) So as Toyota/Lexus Owners basically we are stuck with this one dealer, with no option to take our business else were.
But with all that said, the dealership in dubai gets a big thumbs up from me, as they have been nothing but accomodating, provided good service and have never pulled anything like what Emirati_K has experienced in Al Ain.
