Dont let the Dealer "scare you on voiding your warranty"
Hey CL...I just had a conversation with my friend who was concerned about having his maintenance done by himself. The dealer made it seem that he would risk voiding his warranty if he didnt get his service done by the dealership. As in "tires for life program" We all should be aware that their is a law that prevents them from doing so. It's called the "MAGNUSON-MOSS warranty act". This also protect us from using aftermarket "mods" on our cars also.
We all have the right to get our services done by anyone we choose and/or done so by ourself. As in our overpriced 15K 30K and so on Here is a link you should read.

No warrantor may condition the continued validity of a warranty on the use of only authorized repair service and/or authorized replacement parts for non-warranty service and maintenance. For example, provisions such as, "This warranty is void if service is performed by anyone other than an authorized 'ABC' dealer and all replacement parts must be genuine 'ABC' parts," and the like, are prohibited where the service or parts are not covered by the warranty. These provisions violate the Act in two ways. First, they violate the section 102(c) ban against tying arrangements. Second, such provisions are deceptive under section 110 of the Act, because a warrantor cannot, as a matter of law, avoid liability under a written warranty where a defect is unrelated to the use by a consumer of "unauthorized" articles or service

Magnussen Lexus right? Tires for life program?
My friend has that in there. I believe that it explicitly states that all services must be performed by Magnussen Lexus in order for them to honor the tire warranty.
Have him take a look at the warranty information for the Tires for life. It should be stated in there....

I'll bet it Putnam Lexus. They're always trying to push their own maintenance schedule, and make you sign that you refused "dealer recommended service". F*** Putnam.
