Default How do I take out the foglight assembly?

One of my foglight bulb blew out, but somehow it caused my passenger side foglight to crack. So I bought a replacement on ebay, brand new for 60 bucks , not bad! The problem is I cant find any info on disassembling the foglight. I tried the search and nothing came up.

Any help is appreciated. If i do need ot take the bumper off, Im thinking maybe I should just take it to lexus and do it there. But of course, I rather do it myself.

thanks in advance!

I think taking the bumper off is the easiest way to remove the fogs. Had to do it because thinking of switching to LEDs for front turns. This link maybe helpful though.

It is possible to do it without taking off the bumper. I personally don't know how but the guy who installed my HID foglights took out my entire foglight. I'm not sure why but he just did. Anyway, he lifted the front of my car up and took the plastic panels underneath the car apart and pulled the plastic in the wheel well back as well. Remember to disconnect the wires before attempting to take the foglights out... The guy took 25 minutes for the passenger side and about 45 minutes for the driver side (cramped and this was the first side he worked on so he wasn't used to it).

Besides the plastic behind the wheel well you need to remove the plastic cover underneath the front of the car (well not remove but pull back a bit... it's the black cover right undeneath the foglight). Also, the plastic piece next to the foglight (it's that triangle shaped with the horizontal lines) needs to come out as well. Keep in mind the times I posted were only taking the foglights out. You might need to add more time when you're putting everything back together (should be faster since you'll know what you're doing by now).

You should have 'searched' the 2IS FAQ's - you would have found this thread...

i did find that link before I posted, but that was only for the foglight bulb. I'm looking for the whole foglight assembly. Sounds like I can do it myself, but How do I take out that triangle piece next to the fog light? Can I pop it out or do I have to unscrew something from behind?

thanks!
