Looking to buy 2010 RX450h
Wassup Club Lexus!!!
Really need Some advice/thoughts on this. I am about to return my 2013 Lexus CT200h back to the dealer because my lease is over. I love Lexus' hybrid but don't like the size of my car now. So I decided to join the RX family. But before I do, I wanted to hear all of your thoughts.
I found a 2010 RX450h w/ 82k miles going for $24k. The seller has done a lot of work throughout the years. He sent me the carfax and everything looks good. But with the amount of mileage I am worry the hybrid battery will go out on me. What are some things I should look for when I inspect the car this weekend?
Thanks!

Forgot to add I saw a couple other ones on Craigslist, autotrader, etc but this is the only one that's black on black. Wanted to know everyone's experience with a 2010 and above 75k miles.

Unfortunately, it doesn't apply to us. In order to receive the extended warranty, the vehicle must have a minimum emission rating of PZEV (ie. Prius, Civic Hybrid, etc). The RX450h, even though it's a hybrid, falls under the SULEV category so we get the standard 8yr/100k. The California warranty is now 15yr/150k miles. 15 years!

Living in CA, if you don't replace your 200h with another h, you may miss:
A) watching your fuel economy Increasing as you navigate stop-and-slow traffic
B) not having to worry about overheating during "A"
C) always having the car in "the proper gear" for sprints between lanes in congested traffic
D) having your car's AC keeping you cool when the car's engine is not running
E) having the onboard infotainment offered by the onboard computer
F) the quietness at stoplights
If you Don't go with another h, you may enjoy:
A) fuel prices at what's on the sign (around here, the price of Regular is displayed; whilst the Premium specified by Lexus - not wanting to get into an argument over Regular-vs-Premium - is not) - instead of 30~50% more for Premium at the pump (Shell is the worst offender - usually $0.60~$0.90 more for Premium vs $1.30ish for Regular).

I think the '10s generally had a handful more noise issues that general for 3rd gens, crappy rear shocks and noisy rear suspension in general, barking brake actuators, squeaky windshield below freezing, etc. Listen to it very carefully when test driving, windows up and down, find some roads with light chop. Try some fast stops. Consider bumping to a newer year if you find anything that annoys you.
General reliability though, I think the '10s are as good as the rest. Mine is at 85,000miles and all is well at the moment. I'm thinking ahead to spring 2017 when and if I move on, but this is still my most favourite vehicle I've ever owned.
