Default Audiophiles please halp !!

Alright, So i'm installing my 1 12" Memphis Mojo Competition Sub-woofer with a matching amp in my 2010 HS250h- or attempting too. I had everything installed correctly today and the speaker was playing fine. When I put the car in reverse and then clicked the park button, all of my speakers shut off except for the front one right behind the GPS. My buddy says it is definitely NOT a power issue or the car being the problem- but rather the signal that it is getting is corrupt/poor/incorrect, however you wanna call it. I was a little skeptical about installing a system, especially one of this power, in a hybrid- but- the HS surprisingly has a normal size car battery in the trunk so I don't believe that has anything to do with it. I've read online in a few places that it can effect MPG slightly, heavily, or not at all. Does anybody have any PERSONAL experience with this? Please let me know I miss my sounds!!

Do you have all your speakers connected to the amp with exception to the middle one (behind screen)? If so sounds like your amp blew a fuse. Provide more detail so we can better understand your problem.
