2016 Lexus IS200T Speaker Upgrade...
So I got my first Lexus! Yay! It is a 2016 Lexus IS200T.
I wanted a lil better sounding speakers in my car. I went out and got a dual 10" ported box for a couple 10's I have. I bought all the stuff, (amp, wiring, box, speakers) and had a shop hook it up for me. So, yeah, it has some serious thump in the trunk (Kenwood Excelon XR600-1 Class D 600 Watts RMS Mono Channel Car Amp) with a couple 10" Kicker subs.
Now, everyone hears the thump but can't hear anything else outside the car. Inside, sounds great, but want to even the bass with louder mids.
I am trying to find some good aftermarket speakers for my dash and doors that would scream loud like my subs do.
The problem is I want to get the Kenwood KAC-6407 550W 4 Channel Car Amp to run just the speakers I have for sound and keep the other amp for my subs.
However, I doubt these stock speakers would be able to handle that amp and probably blow the second I turn them on.
I can't seem to find what size the speakers are for the dash. I believe the 4 speakers in the 4 doors are 6.5" speakers and I'm sure I can find some good 6.5" speakers that can handle that amp.
Sorry for rambling...my questions are:
1. Can someone point me out to where I can buy perhaps a bundle of the 7 speakers I need that can handle the above mentioned amp? I am trying not to modify things too much as far as new stereo or holes being drilled somewhere in my car. So hopefully speakers that can fit in the space without cutting away anything.
2. If I am running those 2 amps, would I need to get a better battery or a higher amp alternator?
