Is your entire windshield clean (on the outside)? Have you applied a decal to the outside windshield near the sensor? Is your windshield cracked anywhere near the sensor? Have you disturbed any of the wiring near the rear view mirror (changing light bulbs, etc.)? Do the wipers work okay in the other (non rain sensing) settings? Fuse #11 in the driver's compartment controls that function (along with several other things). You might try checking that fuse.

The issue started when I changed the front windshield at lexus maintenance, after that the rain sensor stopped working and lexus on Jordan couldn’t fix it, it will work only if I will push it with my hand to windshield. The wipers work okay without sensing.
Are there anything can make the sensor close the windshield without push it with my hand?

Thank You

I think your problem is due to your sensor not being properly aligned when they installed your new windshield. Maybe another forum member can advise you on whether or not the sensor can be aligned or adjusted. Sorry, but I don't have any experience with that. Good luck!

I'd take it back to the place that replaced your windshield and have them fix it - seems they didn't do the job right.

I already did and return it back to Lexus maintanance center on Amman-Jordan, but they couldn't fix.
I think it should be tape or something to adjust the sensor with the windshield.

Was the replacement windshield from Lexus? The masks and edge markings might be obscuring the lens.

I believe his real problem is the dealer in Jordan. I don't think the "Lexus Experience" means the same thing there. From what he's said, I think he has a sensor misalignment issue that they can't or won't fix. If someone has a service manual for the HS and can tell him how to align the sensor, he'd be much better off than dealing with the morons at his dealership.

I'll look and see what I can find as soon as I can get to the other computer.

srumman, how did this work for you? Did the tape help the issue?

No i haven’t made any progress yet. I try to go back to intermittent but not success so far. I think i have to go back to the streamtech for ths rain sensor

————————————-

i got no success on the mod for rains sensor. I used my buddy scanner the Maxisys.... and disable the auto wiper function and put the auto mode on time. The fastest is 3 sec. it's enough for the rains here at sol-cal i think. So far the auto mode works as the timer control.

That’s all. I hope the software doesn’t go back to the default.
