Low Beam Headlamp & Wire Harnesses Replacement - Dealer Has 3 Month Backlog
I have called my local Lexus dealer several times since receiving the “quasi recall” on the halogen low beam headlamps and wire harnesses. I received my recall notice back in December 2017 but was told the dealership didn’t have any of the wire harnesses in stock to repair my 2011 HS 250h.
I have had to replace both headlamps twice now and am frustrated that I can’t get the wire harnesses replaced. I called the dealer again this week and finally spoke to a Service department employee involved with the recall. He said he would place my name on the waiting list for the replacement. He said other customers have been on the waiting list for 3 months.
Apparently, the dealerships are having difficulties getting the new wire harnesses from Lexus corporate. Has anyone else had to wait 3 months or longer to get their headlamp wire harnesses replaced?

That stinks. I haven't had the issue so haven't checked my dealer. This does remind me a bit of the suspension recall that took quite a while to get resolved.
In the meantime, Lexus should keep replacing those lamps for free until the new harness is available.
