iCarKit for iPod using the tape deck input
Has anyone used this product? I sent the company an email for install instructions, but nothing yet. It looks like you can unplug the tape deck and plug this product into that connection on the deck. Seems like a good idea because I'm never going to use the tape player. I have Nav. and 6 disc changer. I've used RF and tape to iPod connections and think they sound like crap. Thanks for your thoughts,
Andy

if i were to get such a product i would just run the connector cable down next to the left hand side of the glove box. i have a VAIS product for my XM and a lockpick as well. the lockpick came with the A/V input harness and that's is basically what i did.
the ipod cords aren't exactly huge or anything so you could just rest it on the center console.

It would be nice to see if anyone has used it and how it works. I might be cool if you could run it cable to the storage spot were the DVD player goes. I don't have one so there is plenty of room.
Also does anyone know if you would have to take the dash apart to get to the back of the tape player? That doesn't sound fun!

and yes, you would have to take the dash apart to do it. just search these forums for "lockpick install" you'll see what you'd be up against if you decide to get it. it's not hard....it's just a bit tedious.
