I am wanting to purchase the Lexus extended warranty for my GS450h due to the factory warranty expiring soon. Does anyone know the cost of the warranty? Also does someone have a Lexus dealer source for purchasing one.

I only want either the Lexus or Toyota extended warranty because I have encountered problems with 3 party warranties before.

welcome to CL! you can purchase this warranty from any lexus dealer, but you will be charged quite a bit. however, i agree with you 100%, do not get an aftermarket warranty. they are nothing short of a hassle.

good advice. but i will help you out here as i have PERSONALLY purchased an extended warranty and already USED IT (so i know its 100% legit). contact Troy of Greenfield Toyota the process was simple and i saved almost $1000 by purchasing from Troy and just saved $1000 on a service i needed to have done

What service u had done under extended warranty? (to the OP i have also purchased an extended warranty from troy getrik i saved over $1800 comparing to my local dealer he is a great guy i highly recommend him to anyone in need of extended warranty)

cliff notes: rear calipers were seized at 60k miles and replaced under extended warranty (parts + labor = $1k+)

Thanks guys for the info. Can someone give me a ball park of what the warranty would cost? They quoted me a 3/75 for $1875. I have a 07 gs450h and it only has 13k miles on it. My orig warranty expires in 8/10. It does seem that maybe the Toyota dealers can get the Lexus warranty cheaper than the local Lexus dealer.

I would really like the 3/100k since I will be driving my car more now due to a new job.

just a thought... why dont you call, and ASK! they wont obligate you to purchase or anything. but for reference, i paid about $1300 for the 3 yr/100k from Troy. CALL HIM!
