Auto-dimming exterior mirrors?
So I understand that this model was supposed to have the auto-dimming exterior mirrors, as reported in the brochure and in the manual. I have a 2013 Lexus GS 350 AWD, Technology+ (Loaded), Canadian model.
The problem is that I'm not sure whether mine work; they're very subtle in comparison to some other auto-dimming exterior mirrors that I've used, and certainly in comparison to the auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror.
How can I be sure that these things are working? Are they supposed to be this subtle? I'm wondering if my tint (50% 3M Crystalline on the rear and side windows) is interfering - would I need to obtain a piece of it and tape it in front of the light sensor on the main rear-view mirror to get my auto-dimming to work properly?

I did some tests, and confirmed that, yes, my auto-dimming side mirrors work. They're just more subtle than I'm used to - on an older RX350 I have some experience with, they get super dark. I guess a more subtle approach might be justified - it'd be bad to go completely blind in that one.
