Turn car off but put in accessory mode?
Hi,
I am not sure what exactly to search for to see if this has been asked already, but my little search did not turn up any threads. I have an '08 GS 350 and I am wondering if there is a way to turn off the engine without completely turning off the car (accessory mode?) after you have stopped. Many times I reach my destination, but have to wait in the car for a few minutes. I like to continue listening to music/charging phone in these cases, but pressing the start/stop button turns off everything. Right now I press the start/stop engine button once to stop the engine and then press it again, is there a better/quicker way to do this?
Thanks!

@IXI187IXI Thanks! That seems to be the consensus. I just found a previous thread about this: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...sory-mode.html
I guess a follow-up question (also posed in that thread, but remained unanswered) would be: By default is there a setting to keep the car in accessory mode until I opened the door? I have seen this in many other cars and I am surprised to see that this isn't the default factory behavior in GS.

@worker That's a good point, but I am sure the other manufacturers deal with it somehow (can't recall).
@rominl Yeah, I need to get used to that. I have wanted to do this twice since yesterday, but both times I realized this after I had already put the car in park.
Thanks for the input, everyone.
