Heres a list of what was done so far
Inner outer tie rod ends and bellows
Replaced complete power steering pump assembly. Only pulley was used back
Replaced rack and pinion seal kit and control valve seal kit
Rack was pressure bench tested
Replaced high pressure hose
System was flushed with oil change machine. Even manually flushed a second time and bled

The rack seals were changed, but not the entire rack? My friends rack looked all gunky and rusty inside, which probably explained why his problem was fixed after rack was replaced. Could it be similar to yours and causing it to bind?

If the return hose (low pressure) was an issue, the fluid would show aeration. If there is fluid circulation, the pump is likely ok. The problem very likely is in the rack and pinion itself. Re-sealing the rack was an incorrect course of action. Was the rack leaking? Replace the rack as a unit.

Parts changer
I'm currently working on one of these gs300s and came to realize that there's is an electric solenoid that screws into the power steering pump. When I disconnect this solenoid and apply power and ground to it, the steering is easy to turn. So I'm at the point of three options. Trying the power steering pressure sensor which I'm guessing may tell the solenoid to open and close, try the pps ecu under left side of dash also referred to as power steering relay or module, or last resort, rewire the solenoid with an ignition power source and aftermarket relay so that the solenoid always has power when the car is running.

I keep seeing what looks like a relay, listed as a power steering ecu on the JZS160 161 auction sites. Go through the parts cataloh steering or electrical . I believe same on the GS lhd
If i cone across the mpn i will post it.
