New to the Lexus World
Well here I am new to a 1999 gs300... 1 owner with 119,000 miles, all in all a very clean car with all maintenance done through lexus. I must say this car seems to have such a quality feeling and so far I'm loving it. A few ques, first the door lock actuator motor, I have looked at countless posts and I'm wondering if any one has a current eBay post for these... Seems to be many types, long or short shaft, flat edge on shaft and even one with a brass fitting of sorts, there also seems to be complete actuator sets(front left and right) for 40 bucks? 2nd going to do plugs and wires, again does any one have current top quality oem replacement parts and possible numbers would be great. Also at this point do I or should I replace coil packs? If so again parts and numbers would be great.... You all are a wealth of knowledge..... Thanks

Welcome!
I was also really surprised the quality and comfort of my '99 GS400 when I got it. For a 16 year old car, it's really impressive.
The door lock actuator issue is so common, I think it's probably just a matter of doing some more searching. I don't know enough about it to offer any help, unfortunately.
As for OEM replacement parts, I've ordered a couple things (including spark plug wires) through www.mylparts.com. They are a supporting vendor, so you get a 5 or 10% discount for being a member here. You can check out all the vendor discounts here:

Just make sure if you get a aftermarket door lock actuator you get the 4 pin connector because ebay will have 2 and 6 pin connector ones listed under the Lexus GS search. You can find those aftermarket actuators for about $15 to $30 and the OEM actuators around $75 to $110. I got a OEM one when I replaced mine because first I tried the DIY motor replacement and for some reason the replacement motor I ordered was reversed so when I locked the door it unlocked it and the other way around . The replacement motor only goes in one way so it was useless for me.
