If you're looking for the serial number of the V8, it's right under the throttle body, and left to the coolant passage pipe. It's a bit hard to see if it's really dirty.
That is not a technical or intuitive description. If you want better answers ask better questions. I can guarantee someone on this forum can help you, we just need a better idea of what you are after.
well it goes like this, the turks here in Turkey have some strict and interesting laws when it comes to cars, they currently have my car so they can "inspect it" and find the "engine number" as far as I can tell this must mean the serial number, I'm starting to think its just an excuse to buy time so they can possibly make stuff disappear. thanks Gsteg, i'll see if I can show them where it is so they don't have too much time with my car, my first thought was serial number but they just kept saying "engine" number and stating that they had to see it for themselves
The location I pointed out was the only place that had a set of number. You'll find that it says 1UZ on top and below that is a string of number. Hopefully it's what they're looking for. If they're asking for the VIN number on the block, then I don't know where it's at.
get it back this week, then its mod test mod test, till i go back to the sand box, after that i can go v160 if I'm somewhere i can trust to have it done (EUR)
