Default Need help- working on side skirts

I trying to remove this moulding part and it doesn't want to budge and I don't want to force it. Which way should I apply pressure to pop it off.

The picture is misleading. There are screws on the sides as the pic shows. There is also a bunch of fasteners along the underside of the side skirt that holds it in place. Unless you have the removal tool, you will just have to break it off. The front should be removed first then the rear portion.

Sorry color blind, did see the green. Pull it towards the wheel, that will separate the top. Then I usually pull it out towards myself to separate the bottom fasteners.

thanks for the help all. I figured it out. Takes a little force though. It slides forward and then you have to pop it away from the car on top. The bottom has like three fasteners you have pull pretty hard to release but I got em. I'm waiting for my bud to come over to help me bolt up new skirt and he has my clips.

Any excuse for new pics

Now that I have done it once it would be easy again. But you really have to wrench on those moulding to get them off. I felt lucky to not break any of those clips.

I've done it at least 3 times now. The last one, like you, was the l-tuned side skirts. Haven't broken anything yet.

yeah that's the thing with lexus. you are almost sure there is no more screws, but the thing just won't go. then you give it a hard time and pop it comes out, and you see all the clips here and there. it has amazed me several times how well the car is put together
