Question Taillight assembly removal - help...

Hi Everyone - first post here.

I've read where to remove the taillight assemble one should first remove the hex bolt under the plastic plug - done that.

And then "slide the unit towards me." Huh? Ain't no room to slide nuttin'! It butts up against the top of the bumper assembly.

Can anyone be a bit more descriptive?

Thanks!

Erinaldi

The instruction are correct. I am attaching the printed instructions. There are two sets of guides. Depending on how long they been in place they're going to be tight. A TAPED flathead screwdriver is suggested. Just a nudging and pulling STRAIGHT back works them loose and out of their mounts.

^ Bob's right...they should just slide out (with a good but not too hard pull or use a covered flathead). My 05 were like pulling a pie out of the oven they were so easy.

Like a dork, I waxed them and surrounding areas before I removed too Little lube didn't hurt anyone you know?

Default Worked!

Thanks! The diagram you sent was just what I needed. Now that it's been removed it does come right out - just like that pie from the oven!
