Car drive for 20min then stall. help!!
I have a es300 97. I was driving on sunday for about 30 minute. At that time i was driving about 70mph then it quit working out of no where lead me stranded on the road. I kept cranking at time but no start until i remove both of the battery terminal for a while and then it work again. I check alternator and battery and it turn out good. Alternator 14.25 while battery by itself is 12.35.
I need help.

His CEL will reset because he pulled the neg ground.
Alternator is reading 14.25 but battery is 12.35? Strange.
In any case your battery is drained. Have it checked at a FLAPS and have them test entire charging system.
If the battery can not hold a charge, it will drain and you will not have adequate charge for sparking the plugs = no spark = stall.

yes and no. The CEL will come back on immediately if there is fault detected, yes it will clear the previous fault, but if it's still present it will come right back. Trust me, when I was transfering 1uz's into people hilux's and race cars I would see that type of behaviour all the time, sometimes I induced it on purpose for testing reasons (beyond this little rant).
um, a battery is made up of 6x 2volt cells, so you're never really going to get much over 12 volts out of it. The batteries fine, having tested voltage on circuits day after day for weeks at a time I can say with 100% certainty .. it's always 12 volts ~something over 1, and under 9~.

I have a feeling it might be faulty ignition switch or relay.
I see it happens quite frequently to some older Honda's....and some GMs!!
Do you have a heavy key chain?

As far as the Battery, I do not disagree with you but I wish someone would tell the Porsche Engineers this. If y old 911 does not have 12.5 volts +/- 0.1 volts, she will crank very slowly and if low enough, not start at all. Anything below 12.0 It is time for a new battery as the cells could be damaged from my experience.
But maybe different in Japanese cars???
Per Bentley Publishing 911 Service Manual as taken from Porsche:
I have had many 911 members complain about no start only to find their battery was dead even after it reading 12 volts ( below 12.4 ), jumped, VAROOM it would start :-/

I guess it's a amp-age hungry starter in 911's, or an ecu which won't tolerate being starved of current during start up, Jap ecu's won't function under 10 volts, which is pretty tolerant really.

... no offense, you seem short on .. these type of skills, I think you should get some assistance with this car, perhaps pay for it.
