92 ES tune-up parts list
So my 92 is laking oil from the rear valve cover, and since I could use new spark plugs as well and the intake has to come off anyway, I'm just gonna do a full tune-up. Here is my parts list so far (not counting rtv, anti-sieze, cleaners, etc). If you see anything that I'm missing let me know.
Parts:
Valve cover gaskets
Spark plug tube seals
Plastic washers for valve cover bolts
PCV valve
6 OEM spark plugs
Set of wires
Distributor cap
Rotor
Intake plenum gasket
Throttle body gasket
Air filter
Anything missing?

you don't need the TB gasket since you don't have to take the TB off when you do the tune up.
and if you really wanna make it nice, get a bunch of sand paper and sand down the valve covers and throw some paint on them

+1 for the valve cover paint; makes the bay look a lot better. If you don't happen to have a glossy black supercharger you can do the Intake too.
While you have the intake off you might want to pick up some serious degreaser and give it a cleaning.
While you have the valve covers off you might want to take some feeler gauges and verify that the clearances between the camshaft and shims is in spec.
If your vacuum hoses are starting to rot you can find cheap silicone kits from Ebay that include multiple inner diameters. The bigger diam. stuff is garbage, but I like the small stuff for replacing what seems like a majority of vacuum hoses on this engine (Opinions vary on use of this product, mine is my own)

haha you guys really want me to paint everything, don't you
The reason I said throttle body gasket is because it's never been cleaned and so I wanted to take it off and give it a really good clean, along with cleaning the IACV, and the intake manifold (I Won't take that off though) and the plenum. The IACV is attatched to the throttle body, right? I've never had to do anyhing with it before.

There should be a rubber grommet your PCV valve wedges into, it's worth replacing also, and is only about a buck at a Toyota dealership.
Also, are there any good brands for the gaskets, wires, distributor cap, etc that I should be looking for? I've been looking on rockauto.com

When removing this it is important to do it while you have it off the vehicle. When they're old they tend to break into pieces and being able to flip the cover over is much simpler than fishing around in the hole for a stray piece.

Is this the PCV valve and grommet? It was under "ventilation"
